Mini Egg Inspired

Since Easter is coming up next week I decided to try something festive and pastel for my nails. I was inspired by the very delicious Easter treat, Mini Eggs. This nail art design is SO easy to do. The only things you will need are:

- Clear base coat polish (you don't need this, it it is recommended)
- Four pastel shades of polish (I chose pink, yellow, blue and mint - the mini egg colours)
- One bottle of white nail polish
- One bottle of brown acrylic paint or nail polsih
- A tiny bit of water
- A small cup or bowl
- One flat end paint brush
- One bottle of clear matte polish (I used one by ORLY)

You start by applying the clear base coat to your bare nails, and then painting on your pastel shades onto four nails, and one last nail will be painted white. Then, take your brown nail polish or acrylic paint and put a tiny amount into a small cup or dish. Add a bit of water or thinner and stir it until it is mixed. Take your flat end paint brush and dip it into the brown consistency. Use your thumb to brush along the flat paint brush and make the paint splatter onto your pastel painted nails. This creates the speckled egg effect. After your nails have dried, apply the matte top coat to make them look even more like candy coated eggs!
