How To: Cotton Candy Nails

Summer festivals, carnivals, and cotton candy fun can be right at your fingertips with this Cotton Candy nail art design!

This pastel cotton candy nail art is easier than it looks. Paint your nails an opaque white as a base colour. Take a pale purple, pink, and blue shade nail polish. Combine the three colours by lining them up side by side (touching each other) on a makeup sponge. Lightly pat the painted sponge onto each white nail, creating an ombre effect. Complete the look with a sealed clear top coat and optional glitter (like shown as an accent nail in photos above).

Ocean Escape

This summer weather is SO enjoyable! These sea shell inspired nails are perfect for a day at the pool, beach, or any summer destination! I used these tiny gold sea shell embellishments over an ombre white to blue shore-like background with gold glitter to look like sand. I hope that you like the design! I did get the idea from Pinterest.

Love for Canada

Happy Canada Day!

 

Today I am sharing a nail design that represents the Canadian flag. I have been a Canadian all my life and am proud to be! Today is the celebration of our country's birthday, so I thought it was fitting to paint a design that was a nod to that exactly. Hope you like it!

BLOGIVERSARY: Counting Down This Year's Top 5 Nail Art Designs

Today on the blog I am counting down the top 5 nail art designs that have been featured on my blog in the last year (since Wednesday was the one year anniversary of PS and GW) 

5: Abstract Floral //

This original design was surprisingly easy to create!

4: Mini Egg Nails //

I actually got complimented on these nails SO much - at work, at school, etc. They almost looked identical to real Easter chocolate!

3: Sprinkle Donuts //

I loved creating these donut finger nails. I think they are super cute and have lots of fun colours in them!

2: Tropical Summer Inspired //

These nails have a bit of everything summer related: fresh watermelon, palm trees, and bright blue sky days. I loved recreating this look that I found on Pinterest.

1: Pink Prints //

These nails are so girly and really represented my style well. I learned this design from a very well-known YouTuber, CutePolish.

Abrstract Water Colour Flowers

This nail design was actually super simple to paint on because it is more of an abstract floral look. I used shades of red, pink, and teal green on a white nail polish background with an overlay of gold glitter. This design is perfect for summer and is a beautiful water colour inspired look to your finger tips. Share photos with me if you try this out, (since it is my original design). Pink Prints

This nail art look was inspired by Cute Polish's original "Pretty in Pink" mix & match design. She has a video on how you can create that here.
